Location: US:WI:MENOMONEE FALLS at our FROEDTERT MEN FALLS HOSPITAL facility. This job is ON - SITE. FTE: 0.506000. Standard hours: 20.24. Shift: Shift 2.
Shift details: Mon, Wed, every other Fri 18:30-00:00; Weekends: every other weekend 11:30-18:00 (opposite of Friday).
Job Summary
Provides patient centered care across all areas of Imaging Services.
Clerical duties may include: reception, way finding, registration, insurance verification, documentation in EMR, utilization of proper phone etiquette.
Patient care duties may include: detailed/clear communication by phone and in person to prepare patients for studies, monitoring inpatients and assisting them with basic needs, monitoring patients, transporting patients to and from the imaging department and assisting technologists with performing imaging studies.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience
One year experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Special Skills
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing care, resolving patient care problems and dealing with patients and families.
Ability to use general medical support equipment, including patient lifting devices; understand and follow instructions, as well as give clear directions to patients and others in need of assistance and guidance; good listening skills.
Ability to use standard office equipment including computers, fax, copy machines, document scanners, and tube stations.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy.
Licensure
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
