Compensation and Schedule for the Medical Scribe
Medical Scribe – Part‑time after training, onsite, $18‑$21 per hour, Monday, 8:00am to 5:00pm and Wednesday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Excellent opportunity for a pre‑med or medical student to work with this healthcare system!

Required Qualifications of the Medical Scribe

1+ year of recent scribe and adequate typing experience required

Orthopedics experience highly preferred

Bachelor’s degree highly preferred

High school diploma or GED required

Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities of the Medical Scribe

Document the history of illness and physical examination performed by physician or NP as dictated

Document procedures, results, progress notes, and treatment records as dictated by physician

Enter diagnosis codes and discharge instructions

Enter patient’s past medical, social, and family history into EMR system

Check on progress of labs, x-rays, and other evaluations to provide to patient

Retrieve reports and information for physician to make determination of next steps with patient

Access medical records on behalf of physician using EMR system
