SDV Maintenance Manager

Position Overview
The SDV Maintenance Manager LOGSU-8 supports the sustainment, maintenance, certification, and lifecycle management of SDV MK 8 vehicles and transition support for SWCS systems at LOGSU-8 in Pearl City, Hawaii. This role supports design reviews, research and development, construction and fabrication efforts, temporary modifications, maintenance support, technical work documentation, certification activities, and lifecycle upgrades to help ensure system readiness, reliability, and compliance with technical requirements. The position also serves as a principal technical resource for configuration management and project coordination associated with SDV and SWCS sustainment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the management and sustainment of SDV MK 8 vehicles through demilitarization and support transition to and sustainment of SWCS vehicles.
Assist with design reviews, research and development, construction and fabrication, temporary modifications, maintenance support, quality maintenance processes, certifications, and lifecycle upgrades associated with SDV and SWCS systems.
Provide configuration management and project coordination for SDV and SWCS lifecycle sustainment as a principal technical consultant and representative.
Ensure technical standards and specifications are properly applied so systems maintain full operational capability and certification compliance.
Support vehicle and component testing, including certifications, reliability assessments, system integrity tests, operational tests, and integrated system tests.
Assist in the layout and design of new systems and modifications to existing systems.
Assist in development of specifications for standard and special material procurement and support preparation of technical manuals, training aids, and drawings for assigned systems.
Review test data and assist with reports summarizing results and conclusions to verify compliance with operational and certification requirements.
Operate Government vehicles, classes 1-5 forklifts, and category 3 cranes, as required to support assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements to be considered
Minimum of 10 years of experience with U.S. Navy submarines or submersible platforms.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with submarine mechanical and electrical systems or components.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with supply chain or inventory management.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with Naval quality assurance programs.
Minimum of 4 years of experience with NAVSEA 9290 requirements.
Must be able to embark support watercraft and experimental vessels in restricted waters.
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 10 years of related experience, or BA/BS plus 4 years of related experience.
Active Secret Clearance required.
Prior military experience preferred.
