Job Description
Mt. Washington Elementary is seeking a passionate and creative Elementary Music Teacher for the
2026–2027
school year. At MWES, we are committed to
Every Child, Every Day , and we’re looking for an educator who will inspire a love of music in all students.
The ideal candidate will provide engaging music instruction for grades K–5 through singing, movement, instruments, and basic music literacy. This teacher will create a positive, well-managed classroom and have opportunities to lead performances and collaborate with staff.
What We’re Looking For
Builds strong relationships with students and staff
Maintains high expectations and effective classroom management
Uses engaging, hands-on instructional practices
Brings creativity, energy, and a passion for music
Qualifications
Kentucky certification (or eligibility) in Music Education preferred
Elementary music and/or performance experience is a plus
This position is for the
2026-2027
school year. Salary based on board-approved salary schedule for the 2026-2027 school year.
