Training Specialist – Manufacturing Operations
Location: Bethlehem, NY Area | Fully Onsite
Pay: $28.00–$33.00/hr
Duration: 6-Month Contract with Opportunity for Permanent Hire

We are seeking a Training Specialist to support manufacturing operations by developing and delivering training programs for shop floor employees. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone with a few years of experience in training, operations, or manufacturing who enjoys creating clear processes, supporting employee development, and helping teams succeed. This position is expected to grow under future leadership, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role if approved.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and update SOPs, training manuals, work instructions, job aids, and onboarding materials
Deliver training for new hires and existing manufacturing employees on processes, safety, quality, and standard work
Partner with operations leaders, engineers, and trainers to ensure training materials remain current and effective
Maintain training records and documentation to meet compliance and quality standards
Reinforce Lean manufacturing principles including 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support refresher training and process updates on the production floor
Help assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in training, manufacturing, operations, or a related environment
Experience writing SOPs, work instructions, training manuals, or similar documentation
Strong communication skills with the ability to train and engage employees at all levels
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; LMS experience is a bonus
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
