Responsibilities
Assist administrator with coordination & implementation of coastal management projects funded through federal, state & local sources
Oversee special Lake Erie related programs & projects (e.g., identify project requirements, manage budget & time frame requirements, evaluate whether project deliverables are satisfactory, negotiate with project partners as assigned)
Review regular project progress reports, manage requests for proposals & assist in office budget planning
Review grant applications & provide feedback
Assist administrator with implementation of the Ohio Coastal Nonpoint Pollution Control Program (CNPCP)
Prepare & present information on coastal issues to local, state & national organizations & public
Assist administrator in meetings with other departmental divisions & outside agencies to coordinate & inform about projects
Participate in outreach & technical assistance events
Natural Resources specialty for this position is Coastal Management, Biology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, &/or Geology/Oceanography
Starting hourly pay of $32.35/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $46.09/hr
There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA). Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates Exempt Employees E1 | Department of Administrative Services.
Qualifications
48 months training or 48 months experience in natural resources specialty (Coastal Management, Biology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, &/or Geology/Oceanography) indicated under job duties within approved position description AND valid driver’s license.
Or undergraduate major core program AND 24 months training or 24 months experience in natural resources specialty (Coastal Management, Biology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, &/or Geology/Oceanography) indicated under job duties within approved position AND valid driver’s license.
Or completion of graduate major core program AND 12 months experience in natural resources specialty (Coastal Management, Biology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, &/or Geology/Oceanography) indicated under job duties within approved position AND valid driver’s license.
Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
