Position

Graduate Assistant – Office of Student Accountability (12‑month)
Summary of Job Duties

The Graduate Assistant supports the mission of the Office of Student Accountability by serving as a teaching adjunct for multiple sections of Ethical Decision Making and Conflict Resolution courses, facilitating student learning, and engaging with campus partners at tabling events and New Student Orientation. The assistant collaborates with staff and students to assist with conduct investigations and develop educational initiatives. The role contributes to development of UA Career‑Ready Skills such as Communication, Professionalism, and Teamwork.
Qualifications

Enrollment in a graduate degree‑seeking program at the University of Arkansas
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience teaching or course instruction
Experience handling confidential or sensitive information
Familiarity with University of Arkansas campus departments
Experience in a customer‑service role
Enrollment in Counseling/Counselor Education, Higher Education, Psychology, or Social Work graduate programs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working on a college campus
Experience managing a classroom environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with a diverse student population
Ability to maintain attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to multi‑task in a high‑traffic area with constant interruptions
Ability to think critically and logically to solve problems as they arise
Additional Information

Background check and sex offender registry screening required
Compensation & Benefits

Tuition paid – a 50% graduate assistantship and six hours of class credit constitute full‑time graduate status
Partially funded student health insurance available
Hours and Schedule

Approximately 20 hours per week in‑person commitment
Scheduled hours vary based on community needs
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required
