
Supply Planning Manager

Position Summary
The Supply Planning Manager leads site supply planning strategy, processes, and analytics to deliver stable, agile supply and inventory plans. This role drives cross‑functional collaboration to translate business insights into executable plans that achieve service level, productivity, and total delivery cost targets. Partnering closely with site leadership, planners, procurement, and suppliers, the Supply Planning Manager enables operational continuity, cost efficiency, and responsive customer fulfillment. This is a fully onsite role supporting our Bohemia, NY factory location.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the supply planning team, including hiring, performance management, succession planning, and ongoing feedback
Communicate site planning initiatives, training, and issue resolution through clear, audience‑appropriate presentations
Own site KPIs by prioritizing and escalating planning issues, conducting root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions
Partner with Supply Planning to align production planning inputs and material flow execution
Align demand and supply plans with Operations and the S&OP (Sales Operations Planning) process
Collaborate with planning teams to create and maintain a feasible, reliable production schedule
Identify and manage capacity and supply constraints across manufacturing, raw materials, and packaging; lead recovery planning
Own direct materials planning and purchasing for the site; partner with Procurement to resolve vendor delivery issues
Maintain site production requirements to ensure inventory health and on‑time customer delivery
Monitor inventory risks and proactively elevate shortages or excesses to stakeholders
Ensure site adherence to MRP best practices, including shelf‑life management and long‑term planning
Track factory attainment and service levels; develop action plans to close gaps
Lead LEAN and end‑to‑end value stream initiatives to improve cost, efficiency, and planning effectiveness
Partner with factory operations to identify risks to plant uptime and incorporate insights into long‑term production and promotion planning
Requirements
Advanced degree preferred, however a combination of relevant education and professional experience will be considered
5+ years of planning experience in a process manufacturing environment, including MRP, purchasing, and scheduling
2+ years leading supply planning activities and managing direct reports
Experience with manufacturing resource planning (MRP) and material requirements planning
Hands‑on experience with Oracle and AS400 planning tools, strongly preferred
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, analysis); strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
Experience managing master data governance and maintenance processes
Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including use of quality and statistical tools
Ability to translate data into clear planning insights and business recommendations
Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective presentation capabilities
Proven ability to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Self‑directed with the ability to define priorities for self and team
Collaborative team leader with the ability to work cross‑functionally
Results‑driven and adaptable in a fast‑paced, changing environment

Compensation & Benefits
The approximate pay range for this position is $120,000- $135,000 base. This estimate is in good faith at the time of posting; final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
