
3rd Grade Elementary Teacher Position

Nativity School is seeking a creative, dedicated and faith-filled 3rd grade classroom teacher to join our faculty and school family. This teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in accordance with diocesan and school curriculum standards while fostering the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of students. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church and will support the mission of Catholic education by integrating faith into daily instruction and modeling Gospel values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with diocesan, state, and school curriculum standards
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students
Use a variety of instructional strategies, assessments, and educational technology to support student learning
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and maintain accurate academic records
Classroom Environment
Create a safe, respectful, and structured classroom environment rooted in Catholic values
Establish clear expectations for behavior and foster student responsibility and accountability
Promote positive relationships and a culture of kindness, inclusion, and mutual respect
Faith Integration
Support and actively participate in the Catholic identity of the school
Integrate Catholic teachings and values into academic subjects and daily classroom life
Participate in school liturgies, prayer, and faith-based activities
Communication & Collaboration
Maintain regular, professional communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom matters
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to support student success
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Professional Responsibilities
Uphold school policies, diocesan guidelines, and professional standards of conduct
Engage in ongoing professional growth and formation
Perform additional duties as assigned by the administration
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
Valid teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain certification)
Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
Preferred
Prior experience teaching experience in elementary grades
Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
Work Environment
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and engage actively with students throughout the school day, as well as participate in school-related events outside regular classroom hours as needed.
