Lawler Manufacturing Company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support office and executive needs.
This is a
hands-on, independent role
where you’ll take ownership of the company’s bookkeeping while coordinating with external partners (CPA firm and auditors) and assisting leadership. You’ll play a key role in keeping both the financials and the office running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
Accounting & Bookkeeping (Primary Focus)
Handle
full-cycle bookkeeping , including month-end and year-end close
Maintain general ledger and perform monthly reconciliations
Prepare internal financial reports and track revenue/expenses
Manage Accounts Payable and daily financial transactions
Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash activity (wires, transfers)
Maintain and reconcile inventory and
cost of goods sold (COGS)
accounts
Run and review job cost and production reports within ERP system
Assist in identifying and resolving inventory or cost discrepancies
Coordinate with external CPA firm for tax preparation
Work directly with auditors and support the
annual audit process
Maintain organized, accurate financial records and systems
Administrative & Executive Support
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the office
Assist the owner with scheduling, coordination, and general support
Serve as backup for front office functions when needed
Help coordinate company activities and internal operations
What We’re Looking For
Associate degree (or higher) in accounting, or related area, required.
Strong bookkeeping experience (this is not a large corporate accounting role)
Comfortable working
independently as the sole in-house accounting resource
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
Able to balance accounting responsibilities with administrative support
Working knowledge of GAAP principles
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Experience with ERP systems (Made2Manage ERP preferred)
Experience working with inventory, COGS, or job costing in a manufacturing environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in professional English, with the ability to follow through on tasks accurately and consistently
