$44,292.82 – $57,197.14 per year

Responsibilities

Perform various manual labor tasks, including assisting skilled tradesmen and craftsmen such as carpenters, plumbers, and masons.

Assist in installation of drainage, sewer, and water pipelines or conduits, positioning, joining, and sealing pipe sections and culverts; erecting and removing shoring and bracing for trenches and excavations.

Dig trenches and excavations, refill excavations, spread and level materials using pick and shovel.

Set and repair curbing and patch broken or eroded pavement, applying paving materials such as mortar, concrete, and cement using hand tools.

Install, repair, and maintain signs (regulatory, historic, and information), digging holes and installing supports using hand or hand‑held power tools.

Plant, transplant, prune, trim, fertilize trees, flowers, and shrubs; seed lawns and gardens; spray for insects and plant diseases; cut grass, rake leaves, water, and perform related park beautification tasks.

Load/unload trucks, unpack and store supplies, conduct inventory of supplies and equipment.

Operate motor vehicles including light vehicles, trucks, etc., as assigned.

Perform related duties as assigned; work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

Minimum six months of full-time or equivalent part‑time experience in manual labor involving general construction or maintenance work.
