Teacher Assistant/Bus Monitor

South Shore Early Education, a program of the South Shore Community Action Council, is seeking a full‑time Teacher Assistant/Bus Monitor at our Wareham location. The position is 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No nights or weekends. Salary commensurate with licenses, degree and experience, with an excellent employee benefits package, paid employee lunch break, and in‑service training. Base pay rate $21.19/hr with EEC certification and CDA.

Core Responsibilities

Develop and implement daily lessons & curriculum plans using creative curriculum.

Assist the Teacher to create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of students.

Perform assistant teaching activities that align with the EEC and Head Start Performance Standards regulations.

Meal assistance, Bus Monitoring runs are required daily.

Core Qualifications
Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEC teacher certification required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in early childhood preferred, CDA considered. Must be able to speak and understand English.

Must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check prior to beginning employment.

Valid MA state driver’s license.
