About the Role
Fleet Mechanics play a key role in ensuring the reliability of PBNA’s extensive fleet and supporting the safety of our drivers. You will work in a fast‑paced environment where you can work independently while still receiving coaching and direction when needed.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs with a high degree of independence.

Utilize leading‑edge technology and programs, including PM voice applications, Noregon diagnostics, Uptake predictive analytics, TAAS, and more.

Work on Pepsi’s diverse fleet equipment including automobiles, light and heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts.

Perform advanced diagnostics across OE platforms such as Volvo, International, Freightliner, Maxon, electric vehicles, and material‑handling equipment.

Execute high‑level repairs, including engine and driveline, after‑treatment and emissions, and safety systems.

Adapt and build repair and maintenance capability for alternative fuel applications such as electric vehicles, CNG, and B100.

Diagnose vehicle failures, disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary.

Maintain documentation and records, including vehicle records and pre‑trip checklists.

Answer service calls and support Pepsi’s strong safety culture by adhering to all safety standards and procedures.

Contribute to the team that maintains one of the largest fleets in North America.

Qualifications

Own a basic set of hand tools (diagnostic, ergonomic, and high‑tech equipment will be provided).

Capable of required physical movements, including lifting and manipulating objects up to 50 lbs.

Minimum age 18 years.

Pass a forklift driving skills test (if applicable).

Experience or training with hydraulic and air brake systems.

Experience performing after‑treatment and emissions repairs (grade 6‑8 diesel).

Experience performing driveline repairs (grade 6‑8 diesel).

Experience using diagnostic platforms (Noregon, SnapOn, Nexiq, Altel, etc.).

Helpful Experience

Removing and replacing wheels to torque specs.

Using diagnostic troubleshooting codes.

Parts management and inventory control.

Working under limited supervision.

Using shop tools (engine hoists, welding, tire changes, small tools).

Preventive maintenance programs and documentation.

Computer usage (i‑pad, desktop, laptop, handheld).

Repairing forklifts (propane, battery, hydraulic, pallet jack).

Working with manufacturing standard manuals and OEM support tools.

Repairing heavy‑duty equipment (class 6‑8 trucks, brakes, tires, engines).

Gas and/or diesel automotive repair.

Engine repairs (class 6‑8 diesel).

Safety systems repairs.

Brakes Certification.

ASE Electrical Certification.

ASE Heavy‑Duty Certification.

ASE Suspension Certification.

ASE, Macs, or Military AC certification.

Driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL.

Repairing light trucks (EV, gas‑diesel, vans).

Shift work experience (on‑call, 24/7, 2nd/3rd shift).

Hot work/Welding Certification.

Welding experience.
