
Truck Driver

Responsibilities
Operate company-owned or rental vehicle to fulfill shipping, receiving, pick-up and re-location requirements of medical products and materials
Load and unload vehicle at various locations utilizing different types of powered industrial trucks
Perform required before, during, and after operation "user maintenance" and provide required reports
Packaging and preparation of materials
Operate various powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks and other heavy equipment used in the execution of warehouse and distribution center operations
Provide professional and outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
Maintain proper and accurate driver logs according to regulations
Support the quality system including the quality manual, quality policy, and applicable procedures and work instructions
Attend proper safety training sessions as required and wear PPE in designated areas
Report any safety concerns or issues regarding Aspen property immediately
Maintain and display strong attendance habits by being present and on time
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Valid Michigan Driver’s License and excellent driving record
2-5 years of experience driving 24’ or larger trucks with air brakes
Proficient in verbal and written communication
Hilo Driver Certificate or ability to obtain within short period of time
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, and talk or hear
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
Ability to drive at night on runs as required to meet customer demands
