Position Summary
Freestone Lake and Golf is one of our new developments and we are growing! We are looking for Fine Dining Restaurant Cooks responsible for executing precise, high‑quality food preparation and presentation in a fast‑paced, upscale kitchen environment. This role demands culinary skill, attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency to meet the exacting standards of a fine dining establishment. Experience with brick oven pizza operations is a plus.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a high‑end or fine dining kitchen preferred
Experience with brick ovens is preferred
Culinary degree or formal training is a plus but not required
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen tools, and food safety
Ability to follow recipes with consistency and precision
Excellent time management and communication skills
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to the restaurant's recipes, quality standards, and plating guidelines
Work a designated station (e.g., grill, sauté, garde‑manger, pizza oven, pastry) with accuracy and efficiency
Ensure ingredients and mise en place are fresh, properly stored, and prepped ahead of service
Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all kitchen areas
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen team to ensure timely and consistent food delivery during service
Follow safe food handling procedures and comply with all health and safety regulations
Monitor food inventory and communicate low stock or quality concerns to the Sous Chef or Chef
Uphold the restaurant's standards for professionalism, appearance, and teamwork
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to work all shifts when required during the day, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Walking, standing, some lifting up to 25–50 lbs
