Shipping Specialist (Harleysville)
The Shipping Specialist supports daily mail, shipping, receiving, and general facilities of operations at Colorcon’s Global Headquarters in Harleysville, PA. This role ensures timely handling of packages, assists with building services, and helps maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment. The position reports to the Global Project Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties

Sort and process all mail and postal packages at Colorcon’s Global Headquarters.

Handle shipping/receiving activities, including UPS, FedEx, and DHL.

Operate material‑handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, intra‑site vehicles).

Serve as backup for Facilities Engineer to assist with managing contractors and services for the building, resolving work orders and other issues as they arise.

Support the facility for janitorial, work orders, and minor repairs.

Manage meeting room setup requests.

Assist with housekeeping needs.

Dispose of and store waste in accordance with local laws, MSDS, and OSHA, as needed.

Manage wastewater disposal, landscaping, snow removal services, and door maintenance.

Maintain work orders, purchase orders and departmental documentation.

Track facilities expenses.

Manage badge system and project management contracts.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to obtain RCRA certifications.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 1000 lbs unassisted.

Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

Willingness to work occasional overtime or on‑call shifts.

Commitment to safety and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Working Location

This position is located on‑site at Colorcon’s Global Headquarters in Harleysville, PA.

8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday shift, with availability for occasional overtime and/or on‑call shifts required.
