*This position is contingent upon contract award - estimated in summer 2026

The Technical Manager will directly supervise all entry and mid-level staff to ensure their successful support of the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base. This position is critical to the success of FWG’s partnership with the U.S. Navy. This position will manage all activities and the staff in an assembly function including a variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the activities and staff in an assembly function including electronic, electro‑mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub‑assemblies

Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing and welding/fitting on assembly units

Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications

Establish and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions

Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications

Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup

Ability to use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speed

Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining

Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required

May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures

Develop and maintain professional, results‑oriented relationships that strengthen FWG’s reputation and support positive outcomes through documented communication, timely response, and issue resolution

Anticipate customer concerns and engage early to mitigate risk, resolve performance issues, and uphold FWG’s record of quality and reliability

Ensure all personnel maintain required certifications, training, and clearance eligibility

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission focus across the team

Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications
Education

High School Degree Required

Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology, Information Technology or related technical field Required

Relevant Military Technical Training Program (ex. Navy Electronics Technician, Marine Corps Communications Technician, etc.) required

Licenses & Certifications

Active Secret Security Clearance

Experience

8+ years of experience in electronics troubleshooting repair and maintenance of complex electronic and IT systems

3+ years of experience on naval C4N systems and LCAC platform systems

Solid understanding of electronics theory, troubleshooting methodologies and network fundamentals required

Proficiency with using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other advanced electronic test equipment

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electronic and network issues in a timely manner

Experience with US Navy Groom procedures and Technical Assists a plus

Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required
