Job Description
Third Future Schools is a high-achieving growing network of charter schools. The South Waco Elementary campus in Waco, TX is seeking a Teacher Apprentice.
Teacher Apprentices work alongside distinguished teachers to grow their craft and eventually transition into classroom teacher roles. Apprentices deliver instruction in collaboration with the mentor teachers, familiarize themselves with lesson plans and instructional materials, and gradually assume direct teaching responsibilities without additional support. Upon readiness, they will be promoted to full classroom teachers with the corresponding salary increase.
Teacher Apprentices receive substantial support: lesson plans, demonstrations of learning, and student assignments are provided by expert curriculum developers. Learning Coaches assist with copying and grading. Apprentices have minimal duties beyond four days a month of instructional support.
Maximum salary for a Teacher Apprentice with three years of demonstrated achievement is $64,000 per year (base range $62,000–$64,000).
