
Speech Language Pathologist

The Addison Northwest School District seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for grades K-5 to evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, treat those disorders, provide training and education to staff and families, and collaborate with a variety of professionals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with school‑age children and young adults
Listen to concerns about academic, social, and language problems and provide strategies and interventions to remediate these concerns
Provide consultative services to staff
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
Treat using direct instruction for speech, language, and communication disorders
Meet with parents and teachers to discuss speech, language, and communication concerns
Research and implement learning programs
Conduct special education evaluations
Work with students who use augmentative and alternative communication systems
Provide aural rehabilitation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Job Requirements & Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred and possession of a clinical SLP license
Vermont Professional Educator’s License with Educational Speech Language Pathologist (6‑84)
Experience preferred: 1+ years
