Job Summary
The Engineering Major Projects Supervisor will provide engineering and construction management of large capital improvements, oversee project scoping, permitting, licensing, cost estimating, design, construction management, job close‑out, contract writing and enforcement, and ensure on‑time & on‑budget project completions. The role includes monitoring and evaluating in‑house and external engineering and construction workforces, managing key project metrics and cost controls, and ensuring safe, high‑quality work that meets engineered design, construction standards and contractual obligations.
Job Responsibilities
Identify and thoroughly evaluate project design and construction issues and develop innovative solutions.
Develop and implement regulatory strategies for environmental and PSCW permits related to the construction of the project and the ultimate operation of the related equipment.
Develop and implement construction and design practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Communicate effectively with senior management about the project progress.
Interact and negotiate with industry experts, major equipment manufacturers, contractors, regulatory agencies and other officials on key issues.
Negotiate contracts for major construction work and equipment supply; adjust strategies for new technology and equipment.
Lead a cross‑functional team of internal and external resources in the execution of projects.
Ensure that all work is performed safely, meets quality standards, follows appropriate procedures and construction standards, and is completed on schedule, within budget and according to the engineered design.
Ensure major contractors and suppliers meet their obligations under contract terms, conditions and guarantees.
Monitor and manage key project metrics and cost controls to achieve construction, operational and budgetary goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Valid driver’s license and meet the company’s driving requirements.
5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Pay Range Minimum: $104,083.72
Pay Range Maximum: $156,125.32
