Rubis West Indies Limited, a company specialising in the storage and marketing of petroleum products, is seeking to fill the vacant position of
Maintenance Supervisor
within our Operations department.
Job Summary
To oversee the maintenance activities of various equipment and facilities such as pipelines, storage tanks pumps, dispensers etc. ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently, safely and in compliance with company standards and regulations through effective supervision and leadership of a team of technicians.
The responsibilities for the position include:
Develop and improve preventative maintenance schedules and strategies for all equipment and facilities including the fuel terminal, retail and commercial sites to minimise downtime and maximise asset reliability
Ensure all technicians are adequately trained and identify and close gaps timely
Coordinate preventative maintenance for fleet to minimise downtime and maximise truck availability
Liaise with Engineering team on all terminal, retail and commercial projects to ensure that an adequate maintenance plan can be developed
Oversee the utilisation of the asset management system ensuring maintenance team is actively closing assignments and adequately documenting maintenance issues and solutions
Generate and track critical preventative and corrective maintenance KPIs, participate in analysis and adjust based on recommendations. Communicate results effectively with stakeholders
Manage inventory levels of equipment and spare parts and monitor monthly reconciliations. Submit purchase requests for equipment, materials and/or parts as necessary
Requirements
BSc degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or a technical certificate (mechanical or industrial preferred)
Minimum of 2 years’ postgraduate experience in a similar role
Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards, industrial facilities maintenance and contractor management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
A collaborative and team player approach. Detail and results oriented with strong analytical skills
Good critical thinking capability with a problem-solving approach
Willingness to work outside of regular working hours and travel
