Job Description
Education Service Center Region 6 is seeking a knowledgeable and strategic Education Specialist to support school districts in the implementation and expansion of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. This role partners directly with district leaders and educators to build sustainable systems that improve educator effectiveness and increase access to TIA designations.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with expertise in educator effectiveness systems, data‑driven decision‑making, and talent development practices. This individual will serve as a regional advocate for TIA and support districts through all phases of program development, implementation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Required:

Master’s degree in education or a related field

Valid Texas teaching certificate

Successful experience as a campus or district leader (e.g., Principal, Assistant Principal, or Central Office)

Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in education

Experience with educator effectiveness systems, talent management, or school leadership

Strong understanding of data analysis and program implementation

Preferred:

Direct experience with the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)

Experience supporting multiple districts or systems‑level initiatives

Key Responsibilities

Provide coaching and technical assistance to district and campus leaders in all phases of TIA implementation, including application, system development, designation, and validation

Support the design and implementation of local designation systems aligned to state TIA requirements

Analyze program and performance data with districts to monitor progress, ensure compliance, and improve outcomes

Develop and deliver professional learning sessions, workshops, and resources aligned to TIA and educator effectiveness systems

Facilitate continuous improvement processes, including goal setting, progress monitoring, and program evaluation

Prioritize support for rural LEAs (school districts and open‑enrollment charter schools) as defined by TEA/NCES classifications

Collaborate with ESC 6 teams to align talent development, leadership, and strategic support services

Serve as a regional advocate for TIA by communicating program components and benefits to superintendents and stakeholders

Coordinate and facilitate an annual TIA Performance Review, including program status updates, site visits, and identification of improvement opportunities

Complete all required benchmarks, reports, and documentation, including semi‑annual grant reporting

Collaborate with TEA staff to ensure timely communication and alignment with program expectations

Travel within the state to support districts as needed

Job Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred

Master degree preferred
