We are looking for a highly motivated Mainframe Programmers to join the team. This candidate will focus on creating new business value, necessitating enhancements to existing applications. They will work directly with our technical and business partners to understand existing functionality and to develop requirements for enhancements that are crucial in supporting the clients experience. The candidate will be responsible for delivering quality products consistent with Fidelity's high standards.
THE EXPERTISE AND SKILLS YOU BRING:
- 6+ years of mainframe software development/analysis experience using Cobol, JCL, CICS, DB2
- Candidate should be able to hit the ground running and demonstrate mastery of building and enhancing applications inside of WebSphere z/OS experience.
- Unit testing of COBOL, JCL, and CICS code to ensure individual components function correctly
- Integration testing to validate the interaction systems.
- Regression testing to ensure that existing functionalities remain unaffected by the changes.
- Performance testing to confirm that the system can handle the expected load and transactions efficiently.
- User acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the changes meet business requirements and provide the desired client experience.
- Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira
- Financial Industry experience specifically with an understanding of Investing, Stocks, Bonds, Margin Accounts, Mutual Funds etc.
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt and strive to meet the needs of a fast paced, changing environment
- Ability to navigate organizationally to accomplish tasks
- Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Quick learner and willing to adapt and learn new technologies
- Great attitude, teammate and effective contributor
- Commitment to quality and high standards
