Job Description:
Cloud Database Engineer All candidates must be either a US Citizen or hold a Permanent Resident Card as well as be a direct W-2 employee to our vendors.
A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
PostgreSQL Experience
Strong understanding of PostgreSQL architecture internals and best practices.
Experience with database design development and optimization.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve PostgreSQL issues.
Experience with AWS Aurora features such as high availability Global databases and storage.
Experience with Aurora management and monitoring tools. - Experience with Aurora's performance and cost optimization strategies.
Good understanding of overall AWS echo system and automation tools i.e. CFT Terraform Database Administration:
Monitoring database performance implementing backup and recovery strategies and troubleshooting database issues.
Performing database tuning and query optimization. - Ensuring database integrity security and compliance.
Very well versed with Database Security Access Management
Database administration experience with supporting traditional DB tech such as Oracle MongoDB will be highly preferable Database Migration:
Experience with database migration strategies including planning execution and data integrity verification including use of AWS DMS services
Familiarity with tools and techniques for migrating data between different database systems i.e. Oracle to PostgreSQL Aurora
Soft skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated driven and creative individual
Experience with the following are differentiators:
Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent work experience required
