Desktop app
testing experience (ideally w engineering software).
Looking for a Software Engineer in Test to automate the testing of new desktop engineering application features built on C# and .NET/WPF. The platform includes software components, services, Graphics tools and calculations. The quality of the new platform will be maintained by automating a large portion of its testing and using manual testing where necessary. The testing includes user interface components, CAD graphics, workflows and calculation results. Automated tests will be integrated into continuous integration.
Job Requirements
Review product requirements from technical leads for testability
Review software design documents and code from software engineers for testability
Develop test cases with the support of SMEs
Develop automated testing scripts using TestComplete (from SmartBear) with VB
Execute automated testing using TestComplete/TestExecute, identify and verify findings and report defects
Generate reports of test coverage and reliability as part of test runs
Report issues uncovered during test automation development and automated reporting of regressions on existing tests
Participate in project planning and estimation
Perform manual system integration testing
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in working with teams of 5 or more
3 years of experience with automated or manual testing of desktop application components
3 years of experience with TestCompete and VB scripting
3 years of experience using Azure DevOps and Git
Experience with engineering or CAD/CAE software testing is a strong plus
Excellent oral and written English skill
