Job Summary
The Store Supervisor oversees daily store operations with a focus on yard and inside sales. This role is responsible for supervising employees, managing inventory orders, and assisting customers with product questions, while supporting staff with day‑to‑day operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and support at the front desk.

Accurately process product returns throughout the day.

Monitor pick tickets from the yard and make real‑time adjustments as needed.

Review the customer aging report regularly and throughout the month.

Monitor the order system to ensure orders are properly marked and completed.

Track open orders and verify that picked‑up orders are invoiced correctly.

Complete new hire paperwork and ensure timely submission to HR.

Monitor UKG daily for system errors and manage time‑off requests.

Accurately process and complete payroll tasks on schedule.

Ensure OSHA training compliance is maintained at each store location.

Coordinate and organize regular safety meetings.

Provide clear daily work direction and assign tasks effectively to staff.

Monitor employee productivity and offer constructive performance feedback.

Train new employees on job responsibilities and provide ongoing training to existing staff.

Assist in preparing and providing input on employee performance evaluations.

Participate in the hiring process and support candidate selection as assigned by management.

Address performance or disciplinary issues in coordination with the manager.

Strong hardware knowledge required.

Ability to assemble grills, tools, and power equipment.

Assist in maintaining and operating the paint department.

Provide support and expertise in plumbing‑related products and services.

Operate the register and assist as a cashier when needed.

Perform snow removal and assist with seasonal maintenance duties.

Serve as a delivery person when necessary.

Must be available to work weekends.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

Proven ability to analyze technical problems, identify root causes, and implement long‑term solutions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

Demonstrated ability to assess situations, determine urgency and risk, and make sound, timely decisions in the best interest of the organization.

Ability to recommend and implement process improvements to support business objectives.

Maintains a high level of confidentiality with sensitive or proprietary information.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.

Experience using BisTrack or similar business management software.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.

Strong leadership abilities with experience directing, motivating, and developing a team.

Highly organized, punctual, and dependable with strong time‑management skills.

Ability to operate a cash register and accurately handle transactions.

Ability to operate delivery vehicles as needed.

Must be able to stand and remain active on your feet for up to 8 hours a day.

Frequently requires extended periods of sitting and computer use.

Occasionally required to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
