
Electrician - Per Diem Offered

Responsibilities
Industrial Journeyman Electricians will build 5 small and 4 large control cabinets, including preparing enclosures (drilling and cutouts), installing DIN rail, terminal blocks, wire duct, and components, mounting electrical components per schematics, installing door‑mounted controls, and performing all wiring tasks such as cutting, stripping, routing, terminating, and torquing connections to specifications. Responsibilities also include labeling wires, terminals, and devices per prints, performing continuity testing, and verifying wiring accuracy against schematics.
Qualifications
Strong experience with industrial control panel building and wiring.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings, and work independently; PLC panel experience is preferred.
Must supply basic hand tools and wear standard PPE and pass all pre‑employment screenings.
Benefits & Compensation
Pay is $35/hour with $120/day per diem paid all 7 days. The project runs approximately 3 weeks in the shop followed by 5 weeks in Detroit, MI at an automotive facility. Overtime is expected.
Schedule & Location
Fort Wayne, IN (shop), followed by Detroit, MI. Shop hours Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential overtime.
