Sanitation Associate

## Description**Summary/Objective*****This is for the Sanitation Position***The Sanitation Member is responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the bakery and its manufacturing equipment. It is important that a level of cleanliness, food safety, and EHS Compliance is maintained at all times.**Essential Functions**1. **Collect, gather, and organize equipment and utensils from the previous work day and stage them for cleaning**2. **Utilize sanitation equipment to clean racks, boards, crates, and utensils**3. **Utilize various chemicals and sanitizers to perform cleaning tasks on walls, surfaces, equipment, and machinery.**4. **Fill, mix, and maintain chemical formulas to ensure chemicals remain effective and controlled at safe levels.**5. **Sweep and mop floor space around the facility**6. **Complete documentation of finished tasks**7. **Provide timely feedback on issues or concerns found during sanitation procedures**8. **Partner with team members to meet and exceed sanitation expectations****Competencies**1. Time management2. Written Communication Skills3. Oral Communication Skills (English or Spanish)4. Organization**Work Environment*** This job operates in a warehouse and manufacturing facility. The role routinely uses standard sanitation equipment such as mops, brooms, buckets, towels, janitor carts, floor scrubber, and pallet jacks.**Physical Demands*** The physical demands consist of significant walking, pushing of carts, lift and moving of trays, removal of debris from niche cleaning locations, and be willing to work in a hot humid environment. Cleaning is expected to be done using typical procedures commonly found in the industry.**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work*** This is a non-exempt, full-time position. Work on holidays and weekends will be required. Days and hours of work are to be determined on a case by case basis, but should reflect closely to 7 AM-3PM. The job may have additional time required on the end of any given day, depending on the needs and timing of the production shift, you must be willing to stay and perform duties as assigned.**Travel*** There is no travel requirement for this job.**Required Education and Experience**1. Proper mixture and handling of chemicals training2. Sanitation or Janitorial Experience**Preferred Education and Experience**1. Experience within a GMP or Food Safety Compliant Facility2. Experience or knowledge of HACCP3.
