JOB SUMMARY
The Estimator position is responsible for providing technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; and
2-5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Quantity takeoff
Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software
Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations
Review current material pricing levels
Review and estimate addenda as required
Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting
Draft and submit proposal documents
Follow post bid closeout procedures
Attend weekly estimating team meetings
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned
