OLV Human Services is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and treatment planning for youth in residential, outpatient, and day treatment programs. This role works closely with the Out Patient Clinical staff and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care.
Salary Range:
$100 - $130 per hour (based on licensed years of experience).
Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works with the treatment team and psychiatrists to ensure the best possible health outcomes for individuals in treatment. Scope of practice includes medication management, diagnostics, and treatment planning. Individuals supported include youth in the OMH Residential Treatment Facility, Outpatient Clinic, and Day Treatment programs. Providing backup to agency psychiatrists is also a key duty and will include periodic on‑call responsibilities.
Essential Job Duties
Provide diagnostic examinations for client intake.
Prepare treatment plans aligned with evidence‑based practices.
Prescribe medications aligned with psychiatric treatment guidelines.
Triage and treat emergency situations, as appropriate for the clinical setting.
Diagnose and refer emergent conditions beyond the scope of care at location, as appropriate.
Complete progress notes, quality assurance records, and documentation of delivered services.
Keep accurate and complete patient records.
Work directly with all clinical treatment team on all aspects of operation—both clinical and administrative—as needed, including active communication with treatment team members.
Participate in all required employee training programs.
Provide backup for agency psychiatrists, including some on‑call duties.
Perform additional duties as the program designates.
Comply with all federal and state regulations and agency policies pertaining to HIPAA, false claims, whistleblower policies, and all others.
Complete continuing education as required for NYS licensure.
Perform all other job‑related duties assigned by supervisor.
