Position Summary

This role is a hands-on technical position focused on diagnosing, repairing, and validating complex vehicle

issues that require advanced expertise beyond standard service operations. The specialist works directly on

vehicles, supporting repair accuracy, confirming root causes, and ensuring effective resolution of challenging

mechanical and electrical concerns.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Diagnostics & Repair
• Perform in-depth, hands-on diagnosis and repair of complex vehicle issues involving mechanical,

electrical, and electronic systems.
• Identify root causes of failures across key vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, braking,

and electrical components.
• Execute and validate repair procedures to ensure issues are fully resolved.

Technical Case Execution
• Take ownership of assigned technical cases requiring advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
• Document diagnostic steps, findings, and final repair solutions clearly and accurately.
• Ensure all work performed aligns with established repair standards and best practices.

On-Vehicle Testing & Validation
• Conduct testing and verification of repair procedures directly on vehicles.
• Reproduce issues, confirm fixes, and ensure long-term reliability of repairs.
• Support validation of new or revised repair methods when needed.

Collaboration with Technical Teams
• Partner with engineering and technical support groups to resolve complex or unusual issues.
• Provide detailed feedback from hands-on work to support continuous improvement in repair

processes.
• Assist in escalating cases by supplying accurate diagnostic data and repair insights.

Knowledge Contribution
• Capture and share repair solutions and diagnostic insights to improve future service efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends or recurring issues.

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in automotive technology or related field.
• 2-4 years of direct, hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Strong background as an automotive technician required.

Technical Expertise
• Deep understanding of vehicle systems, including:

o Engine performance and drivability

o Transmission systems

o Brake systems and safety components

o Electrical and electronic systems
• Proven ability to diagnose complex issues and perform advanced repairs.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and interpreting vehicle data.

Hands-On Technical Ability
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform detailed diagnostic work.
• Skilled in troubleshooting across multiple vehicle systems.

Analytical Thinking
• Ability to systematically identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Attention to Detail
• Accurate documentation of diagnostic processes and repair outcomes.

Collaboration
• Works effectively with engineering and technical teams to resolve complex issues.

Adaptability
• Comfortable working on a wide range of vehicle concerns in a dynamic environment.

Work Conditions
• Flexible schedule may be required, including weekends or holidays.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required for on-site support or training.
