Procurement and Culinary Support Assistant
Location: Buffalo, NY, 14213

The Procurement and Culinary Support Assistant will help the Buyer accept deliveries, manage inventory, transfer inventory, and support kitchen prep work. Responsibilities include verifying product orders upon delivery, checking quantity and quality, putting away items, following proper labeling procedures, restocking shelves, communicating quality issues, picking up orders from vendors, transferring items between outlets, pulling items for daily prep, assisting with catering kitchen needs, and performing other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Verify all product orders upon delivery, cross-checking amounts against purchase orders and invoices, and ensuring quality meets company standards.

Put away all received products.

Follow proper date/labeling procedures.

Perform daily restocking of shelves, coolers, bins, and freezers.

Inform Management of product quality issues or discrepancies between orders, delivery quantities, and invoices.

Pick up orders from vendors.

Transfer items to and from other REG outlets.

Pull items from inventory needed for daily prep.

Pull sheets/checklists for off‑site catering kitchen needs.

Communicate and check with the Event Assistant; assist with catering equipment needs, loading/unloading trucks.

Assist in other areas of the business as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

2 years culinary experience; and/or 2 years of porter/steward experience preferred.

Clear communicator.

Must work well in a team environment.

Available 7 days per week, all hours including holidays.

Able to stand for an extended period (e.g., 12 hours).

Able to lift 50 lbs.

Must possess valid Driver’s License, vehicle, and reliable transportation.

COMPENSATION
In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate
$16.79 – $22.72
