Position Details

Type: Salaried, Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Location: On-site, Queensbury, NY

Salary Range: $60,000-$81,750 annually

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics partners

Monitor carrier performance, rates, and industry changes

Coordinate with carriers when shipping issues arise

Negotiate competitive freight rates and service agreements

Coordinate inbound, outbound, and drop-ship freight movements

Ensure accurate routing and delivery to appropriate warehouse locations

Partner with the Warehouse Manager to align logistics with operational needs

Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement process improvements

Partner with Purchasing to plan logistics based on inventory availability and demand forecasts

Manage and file freight claims as needed

Prepare and analyze reports on transportation, supplier performance, and overall supply chain efficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, operations engineering, supply chain management or similar degree areas or 2-5 years of logistics experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment

Experience with both freight and small parcel shipping

Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in warehouse operations

Familiarity with NetSuite and ShipHawk

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Knowledge of the packaging or distribution industry
