We are seeking an individual with a minimum of one year of RN experience for this role.
Unit
Our unit is a 24 bed Level 3 NICU. The new graduates and experienced RNs on our unit are offered a 12-week orientation period. We have self-scheduling, every THIRD weekend commitment and a flexible holiday schedule. We take care of babies of all gestational ages from 23 weeks up to term. We work closely with our Labor and Delivery side of the hospital and receive 90% of our patients from in-house deliveries. Nursing Skills gained on this unit
Caring for preterm infants from 23 weeks to term infants needing NICU support after delivery
Competency in caring for a critically ill neonate with central lines, respiratory support, feeding issues, drips, etc.
Delivery training in a Level 3 care center
Unit Success
Multiple months of 100% patient satisfaction scores
Recently awarded in early 2026 with our Level 3 Perinatal Center Certificate
2.1:1 Patient ratios
Unit Culture
Interdisciplinary rounds with MDs, NNPs, RTs, Pharmacy, Social Work and Dietary
Unit based celebrations for holidays and life events
Monthly book club
Coaches with 15+ years of experience for new hires
Qualifications
Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
