Senior Manager, Software Engineering

* Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role* This is a full-time, onsite role at our Denver, CO office.* This position is not eligible for remote work.* **Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience.* **Experience:*** 7-10 years in data engineering or software engineering, with significant experience at a senior level.* Proven track record in leading data engineering projects and teams through influence* **Technical Skills*** Strong expertise in relational SQL and NoSQL databases.* High proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and/or Scala for data processing and analytics.* Experience designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines for analytics and operational use.* In-depth understanding of in-memory processing and data formats (e.g., Avro, Parquet, JSON).* Experience with cloud services (AWS: EC2, MSK, S3, RDS, SNS, SQS) and stream-processing systems (e.g., Storm, Kafka).* Knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Data Pipeline).* Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).* Experience using software engineering tools and practices (e.g., GitHub, VSCode, CI/CD).* Experience in data observability and monitoring.* Hands-on experience with designing and maintaining data schema life-cycles.* **Bonus:** Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Thoughtspot.* **Soft Skills:** Exceptional communication and leadership skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences; analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities for large-scale data engineering challenges.The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role.
