The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for operating MHEs for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting. Computer data entry is required for receipts, shipments, and inventory maintenance. The Inventory Associate is responsible for assisting the supervisor/manager in ensuring the facility is in compliance with quality standards. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.
Essential duties and responsibilities include maintaining accurate warehouse inventory, direct customer interface, returning material, transferring material, relocating material, safe use of all equipment, functioning autonomously, following company policies, maintaining records and reports, conducting physical inventory, assisting in cycle count, supporting shipping/receiving, performing safety audits, reporting and correcting unsafe operations, participating in start-up and staff meetings, assisting supervision, using PC skills, initiating action to prevent non-conformities, reviewing/investigating issues with inbound/outbound functions, shipping material to the factory, notifying management when procedures require updates, maintaining a clean work area, performing housekeeping audits, assisting leadership, working flexible schedules, participating in cross training matrix activities, and performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months experience in logistics/distribution, satisfactory completion of a forklift training program, basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS functions, English language skills, basic to intermediate mathematical skills, strong attention to detail, ability to perform duties with minimal supervision, and ability to adapt to change.
Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years' experience in an inventory department, 1-3 years forklift experience, current or prior MHE certification.
Physical requirements include being rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and working in a low to moderate noise environment.
