America's Veterans need you. The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is looking for CNAs to join our team in caring for America's Heroes. We are a 5-Star, Deficiency Free, Homelike Care Community.
The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls provides compassionate and professional long-term, skilled nursing care to veterans and spouses who cannot be cared for in their homes.
We do not mandate you to stay or work more than your scheduled shift AND we do not cut work schedules due to low census!
Schedule (Available Positions): Minimum Requirement: 3 shifts per month, with one of those shifts being on a weekend. Every other weekend and every other holiday required with full-time & part-time positions
As a CNA at the Veterans Home you will:
Follow resident care plans, document noted changes in resident's physical, psychosocial, mental, or emotional conditions according to community policy and procedure
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLS) in a manner conductive to their safety and comfort under the direction of a licensed nurse
Turn, lift, position, and transport residents according to care plan
Deliver meals and assist residents with eating
Answer resident call lights promptly
Ensure residents are clean, neatly dressed, and well-groomed
Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding accurate performance of vital signs, weights, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, using speech, language, or other functional communication system etc.
Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring, compassionate and dignified manner which recognizes the individual's needs and rights.
As a CNA you will possess:
A valid Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
Familiarity with care plans and HIPAA regulations
Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings
