Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

Work with residents to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence

Support recovery from injury, surgery, or illness through therapeutic exercises and techniques

Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist

Educate residents and families on mobility strategies, safety, and injury prevention

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, SLP, and nursing

Participate in care planning and goal setting

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations

Provide care in a compassionate, safe, and supportive environment

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as Physical Therapy Assistant.
Certification by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
