Assist and provide activities of daily living.
Assist in transporting patients to the respective unit/ward/clinic.
Assist medical personnel by handling and preparing such items as needles, IV solutions and tubing's, sterile bandage supplies, gowns, mask, and gloves, procedure trays.
Rotate continuously through each patient's room insuring the staff has all necessary equipment and supplies to perform patient care.
Clean and decontaminate equipment on a rotating basis as required by infection control guidelines.
Keep critical care storage rooms and supply areas neat, orderly, free of congestion.
Assist with the transfer paperwork for patients leaving the facility.
Provide nursing support as the unit ward clerk-answering phone, answering and sending faxes, paging people as needed, transferring and admitting patients to and from the critical care section, ordering office supplies, stocking paper etc.
