Job Summary: Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring Machine Operators for a well-established manufacturer in South Grafton, MA. What You'll Do As a Machine Operator, you'll support daily production by safely operating equipment, monitoring quality, and keeping the line moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate production machinery following work instructions and safety guidelines
Load/unload materials and monitor machine cycles to meet production goals
Perform in-process quality checks (visual inspections and basic measurements as needed)
Make minor adjustments within scope, clear small jams, and troubleshoot basic issues
Complete accurate production documentation (counts, scrap, downtime, lot tracking, etc.)
Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S) and follow all PPE requirements
Communicate issues quickly to leads/supervisors (quality, equipment, or material concerns)
Support changeovers, material replenishment, and other tasks to keep production running
Quality & Safety Expectations
Follow all SOPs, quality requirements, and safety policies at all times
Identify defects and escalate immediately to prevent nonconforming product
Maintain a safety-first mindset when operating equipment and handling materials
Requirements
Machine Operator/manufacturing experience preferred (or strong mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn)
Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
Basic math skills and comfort recording production data
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull carts, and bend/reach as needed
Reliable attendance and flexibility to work varying hours/shifts as required (Temp/Flex)
Must be able to pass any client-required background check and/or drug screen (if applicable)
Nice to Have
Experience with automated or semi-automated equipment
Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, rulers, gauges)
Background in electronics, medical device, or precision manufacturing
Knowledge of Lean/5S and basic troubleshooting
