Perioperative CNA
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm
The Perioperative CNA provides essential clinical and environmental support within the perioperative environment. This role helps to focus on ensuring efficient room turnovers and safe patient care and transport. The assistant works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to facilitate high-quality patient outcomes and streamlined surgical workflow. The Perioperative CNA performs duties related to patient care consistent with hospital policies, as directed by the Registered Nurse. Assists with pre-operative transfer of patients to preoperative area, pre-surgical prep, positioning assistance, OR room turnover, and supply management. Duties can be expanded as necessary.
Education and Training
High school diploma or GED required
Licensures/Certifications
Current Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
Current American Heart Association's BLS/CPR certification card on hire or within orientation period.
Experience
Medical background and previous hospital experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills
Ability to take direction and follow through
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods (8-10 hours)
Ability to lift, push and pull heavy equipment and patients.
Frequent bending, reaching and stooping required for room turnover and patient positioning
