As a Processing Operator I, you'll play a crucial role in supporting daily production activities on the processing floor, ensuring we continue to deliver quality products in a safe, efficient, and collaborative environment. As a Processing Operator I, you'll support the manufacturing team by operating equipment, maintaining inventory health, and following strict quality standards. Your work will directly contribute to the success of a dynamic and growing organization.
What You'll Do As a Processing Operator I, you will be responsible for:
Production Operations: Operating and adjusting production equipment to perform changeovers, routine maintenance, and cleaning according to established SOPs.
Peer Leadership: Guiding and coordinating team activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness; providing clear direction to peers to ensure all production targets are met.
Workflow Management: Maintaining a smooth production flow and working independently to promptly report equipment or process issues.
Quality & Documentation: Ensuring product quality by conducting in-process checks and completing accurate documentation, including digital entries and deviation reports, with a high attention to detail.
Collaboration: Partnering with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment concerns and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety: Upholding safety and cleanliness standards to prevent accidents and maintain a high-quality manufacturing environment.
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate will have:
Physical Suitability: Ability and willingness to perform labor-intensive work in a demanding environment.
Education: A high school diploma or GED; specialized training in manufacturing or technical fields is a plus.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (required); experience in a regulated food or GMP environment is preferred.
Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to understand how machines work and recognize when they are not functioning properly.
Soft Skills: The ability to work independently and take initiative while maintaining strong communication with the team.
Mathematical Skills: Solid basic calculations, including weights and unit conversions.
Attention to Detail: A high level of precision in both physical tasks and documentation.
Physical Capability: Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced plant environment.
Location & Schedule: This position is on-site in Albany, OR. The schedule is a 2-2-3 rotation (7:00 AM

7:00 PM), which provides a predictable long-term calendar with built-in overtime.
