Production Welder
The Royal Group (TRG) currently has a position open for a Production Welder in Sidney, Ohio. A welder is responsible for assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. Their duties include reviewing blueprints to include but not limited to squareness, dimensional tolerances and any other attributes defined in the specifications; perform spot and finish welding into the appropriate shapes. Essential Job Functions For This Position:
Read and understand blueprints/drawings
Follow company safety, quality and plant rules and regulations.
Wire feed mig welding
Griding and assembly as needed
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains positive working relationships with employees and peers.
Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Education / Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Technical Skills:
Vocational/technical certification
Fabricating
Welding
Read blueprints/drawings
Ability to learn and follow instructions
Language Skills:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from local management team.
Ability to communication through written and verbal language
Mathematical Skills:
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be usually loud. The employee will be with heavy parts requiring the use of steel toed boots and other provided PPE.
