Job Title
1st Shift Packaging Operator
Summary: Responsible for the accurate and efficient packaging of divisional Retail/Cup product. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Other responsibilities with similar skill and work conditions as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The accurate and efficient handling, labeling, and packaging of divisional Retail product.
The ability to handle the accelerated process flow of the Pack-out process.
Responsibilities for Food Safety:
Must adhere to all corporate GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and all Food Safety policies including "Clean as you go" program.
Must adhere to all Allergen control programs and procedures as applicable.
Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities, and individuals.
If monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and adhere to approved HACCP plan(s).
Label verification & line clearance between batches.
Positional accountabilities:
100% adherence to all company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures); no deviations.
Ability through training and appropriate time in the position; to run, adjust, breakdown, and reassemble appropriate job specific processing/packaging equipment.
Update Supervisor on any hindrances to successfully performing your position.
Immediately notify your Supervisor of any recognized issues/failures while performing your position.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
