Learning to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Measuring parts with precision tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure quality. Supporting the building, repair, and maintenance of tools, fixtures, and machine components. Performing basic shop duties including material handling, cleaning, and organization to maintain a safe work environment. Assisting experienced machinists with daily production activities and troubleshooting issues. Following all safety procedures and shop standards to ensure a safe workplace.
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have: A strong mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for learning a skilled trade. Basic math skills and keen attention to detail. The ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team. An interest in machining, manufacturing, or hands-on technical work. Physical ability to lift materials and stay active throughout your shift. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Prior shop, construction, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
