Fabrication Process Specialist, 2nd Shift

Your responsibilities
Perform set-up and operation of fabrication/surface treatment and wastewater equipment to produce parts that conform to specifications with minimal variation.
Perform maintenance of these machines.
The machines include forming presses for sheet metal, bending machines for sheet metal, expansion machine for sheet metal surface treatment, and welding machines.
Processes include washing and passivation of metal parts and bonding of enamel/paint materials to metal parts through cure oven/furnace.
Trouble shoots processes and makes necessary adjustments or changes.
Work closely with Manufacture ENG to determine long term solutions.
Tracks process using statistical methods and make necessary adjustments or changes.
Follow "training" instructions of the Team Leader.
Must be able to switch from different processes and machines without incurring production delays.
Observe machine operations and adjust machine for proper operation.
Load and position tools into presses and perform change-over.
Set up coating equipment for enamel/paint application.
Perform adjustment machine stops, stroke pressures, speeds, flow and spray pattern, etc. to achieve minimum part variation of conforming parts at acceptable cycle times.
Perform preventative maintenance as required by "Preventative Maintenance Schedule".
Inspect sheet metal parts, work pieces, and coated parts during set-up for conformance to technical specifications using precision measuring equipment/gauges or fixtures and make necessary adjustments to requirements.
Adjust welder settings as instructed to achieve conforming parts with minimum variation.
Adjust flow rate and spray pattern to achieve correct coating application and mil thickness
Adjust washing, and passivation processes to achieve conforming parts with minimum variation
Participate in problem solving process and perform necessary adjustments or changes.
Participate in "Continuous Improvement Process".
Store and clean tools properly and update repair log.
Keeps work area clean and orderly to 5s standards.
Set-up and operate various Fabrication equipment.
Operate machines as required.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Your profile
High-School Diploma

Required
0-2 Years of Experience (Minimum of 2 years with Metal Forming Equipment)

Preferred
Strong technical knowledge of resistance welding, sheet metal working and industrial controls. Strong knowledge of coating processes.
Excellent knowledge of safety practices and procedures around manufacturing equipment.
Strong technical knowledge to read and interpret technical drawings.
Knowledge of Basic PLC Control Methods.
Must be able to operate all Machine Controls in Fabrication.
Strong understanding of plant and environmental safety.
Good understanding of statistical methods of monitoring processes and product quality.
Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic components.
Good understanding of trouble shooting industrial equipment.

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
