2nd Shift Saw Operator Ashley, IN Pay 20.00 per hour Overtime opportunities available during the week and on weekends Shift Monday through Friday 3PM to 11PM Job Summary We are hiring a 2nd Shift Saw Operator to support cylinder manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for cutting materials to specification, maintaining inventory flow, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met in a fast paced production environment. Responsibilities Operate industrial saw equipment including radial band abrasive and cold saws Adjust speeds and feeds for a wide variety of materials Cut metal materials to required lengths based on work orders and specifications Read and work from drawings and written instructions Measure materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards Store stock materials and identify and fill orders as needed Operate overhead crane and forklifts Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Meet daily production goals Perform other duties as assigned Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to metal materials and machinery Fast paced and production driven Standing for long periods throughout the shift Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds as needed Frequent bending lifting and movement throughout the shift Use of hands for handling materials and operating equipment Qualifications Previous manufacturing or saw operation experience preferred but not required Ability to read a tape measure and work with decimals and fractions Ability to read and interpret drawings and written specifications Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills Basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and division Ability to work overtime as needed Reliable attendance and strong work ethic PPE Requirements Steel toe boots required Safety glasses required
