Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Inventory Control Associate is to assist with the management of the inventory of all materials needed for the production floor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock levels (daily, monthly and yearly counts).
Assist with the reporting of nonconforming and damages of materials and any stock issues
Item lookup
Complete return to stock process(RTS)
Assist with destruction of client owned inventory and company materials
Proficient use of computers, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Outlook)
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Keep area clean and clear of clutter
Other duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
High School graduate, or completion of GED preferred
At least one year working in a warehouse or working with inventory
Ability to work independently and with other coworkers
Ability to drive a forklift or use pallet jacks when offloading trucks
Ability to read and understand packing slips
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Strong mathematical and analytical skills necessary
Ability to lift 50 pounds without restriction
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time-management abilities
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems considered a plus
Must be able to work overtime
Working Conditions
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. In addition, requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
