Pay: $100,000 - $125,000 annually (dependent upon experience)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shop Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in a busy machine shop focused on the repair and servicing of industrial rotating equipment. Our work supports customers in power generation, marine, paper mills, and heavy industry.
This is a working leadership role responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing repair work, coordinating with internal teams and customers, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time execution.
Turbine Experience Requirement

Must Have
A significant portion of our work involves steam and gas turbines. Turbine repair process knowledge is a MUST.
Candidates must have direct experience working with turbine repair and refurbishment processes. If your resume does not clearly reflect turbine experience, you will not be considered for this role.
Examples of acceptable turbine experience include:
Supervising or leading turbine repair work (steam or gas)
Hands-on turbine teardown, inspection, repair, and reassembly
Managing turbine-related work orders, planning, and scheduling
Familiarity with turbine components, failure modes, and repair workflows

Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise shop employees and contract personnel supporting turbine and rotating equipment repair
Plan and schedule work orders, assign jobs, and track progress to meet deadlines
Coordinate with sales, engineering, and customers to clarify scope, priorities, and timeline changes
Ensure high standards of safety, housekeeping, and daily safety meeting compliance
Oversee quality practices including in-process checks and final inspection readiness
Review timecards and ensure accurate labor reporting
Estimate machine time and material needs for repair jobs and communicate realistic timelines
Maintain repair schedules and shop records, and support purchasing of parts and supplies
Determine when work should be routed to outside vendors and manage those handoffs
Direct preventative maintenance for shop equipment and onsite tool inventories
Step in to operate equipment or troubleshoot issues when volume or complexity requires it
Support customer emergencies as needed, including occasional onsite travel
Required Experience and Skills
10+ years in a repair-focused machine shop environment
Turbine repair knowledge and experience

REQUIRED
Ability to lead teams, assign work, and hold accountability on safety, quality, and productivity
Ability to interpret prints, specifications, and job orders and translate them into clear direction
Strong working knowledge of machine shop operations and equipment (manual and/or CNC)
Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability and comfort making decisions under pressure
Working knowledge of Word and Excel or similar systems for tracking and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
Prior shop supervisor or foreman experience in turbine, rotating equipment, or industrial repair
Experience supporting marine, power generation, paper mill, or heavy industrial customers
Ability to create or refine drawings/specs from sketches or verbal descriptions
