Machine Operator
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to learn and operate various technical production fabrication equipment. The role is contract to hire with the potential for long-term employment.
Responsibilities
Train to operate benders, lasers, press brakes, and CNC mills.
Operate and set up technical production fabrication equipment such as tube/wire benders, lasers, press brakes, and/or CNC mills.
Possess technical understanding in at least two, preferably three, of the listed job areas.
Set up knowledge for tooling.
Check equipment for malfunctions and ensure tools are free of debris.
Perform basic equipment troubleshooting.
Understand and follow job instructions.
Complete documentation including production logs, quality checks, and heat codes.
Ensure proper tagging of bins and racks.
Hang first part on check board and remove as instructed.
Assist with preventative maintenance.
Conduct all quality checks and report issues to supervision and quality.
Run production and meet productivity standards.
Operate forklift as needed.
Record rework and scrap on appropriate forms.
Follow safety policies and maintain housekeeping standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills
Previous machine operation experience.
Blueprint reading.
Quality inspection using micrometers and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with micrometers, calipers, gauges, lasers, CNC, press brakes, and mills.

Work Environment
The work environment includes first and second shift options, with hours from 5am-3pm or 3:00pm-1:00am, Monday through Thursday. There is potential for overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. The role requires adherence to safety policies and maintaining housekeeping standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $52000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
